Visual Studio - Loading a Project

The first goal of this section is to get the programmer started with a first program in Visual Studio. Once Visual Studio is installed, it may be selected from the start menu. When this is done, a screen similar to the following screen is displayed.

The details of the screen vary according to which projects were last accessed, whether the computer is connected to the Internet etc. From the above screen, choose the menu options File/Open/Project. Below are shown the cascading menus needed to open a project.

When open project is selected, the following dialog is shown.

Make sure that the appropriate directory is available in the "Look in" entry field. All the projects then show up. Select the project you are interested in and load it. You do this by double-clicking on the directory then loading the item with the C# icon on it.
